Why Our Pub is Great

The Plough and Barley Corn is a local pub with plenty for families, groups, and couples. Come over and you’ll find a nice beer garden with plenty of shade, and a cracking kids’ play area. Let the little monsters have a mini adventure while you sit and chill with a drink. There’s a lovely atmosphere in our pub. Everyone in the community gets involved in our fun days and charity events. Local groups use us as a meeting place. Mates get together for pints. And our cocktail menu makes us a popular pub for a girls’ night out.

Friendly and helpful staff will sort drinks while you check out the food menu. It’s a beast! Everything that could possibly tickle your fancy is on there. Feeling in the mood for traditional pub grub? We do great golden scampi and chips. Feel the need for a mixed grill? Fill your boots with rump steak, gammon, chicken, and sausages. Up for trying some street food? Check out the Tijuana street fries and our big corn dogs. Fancy a curry? Stick to a classic chicken tikka masala or be adventurous and try a charred chicken pathia from Persia.

Sweet tooth? Walk this way! Our desserts come in all shapes, flavours, and sizes. If you’re feeling a bit full after a hearty main, go for a mini dessert platter. Or sneakily loosen your belt a notch and tackle a full-on pudding like Bramley apple crumble and custard. And if you like your puds with a little kick, check out our beer sorbet. Refreshing sorbet, hoppy flavour, and whipped cream. Best. Dessert. Ever!
